How we work
Newcastle Bed Bug Treatment does not treat bed bugs. We are a small introduction service for Newcastle upon Tyne only. Here is what happens to your enquiry, step by step, and who pays for the service.
You send the form
Your postcode, a few facts about the home and what you have found, then how to reach you. It takes about two minutes. At this point only we have your details.
We look for a firm
A person reads your enquiry and looks for a bed bug technician who already covers your postcode and handles your kind of property, from an upper Tyneside flat to a guest house.
We give you the firm's name
When we have found one, we phone or email to tell you who it is. Say yes and we pass them your enquiry. Say no and we stop there; nobody else sees your details.
They inspect and give you a price
They get in touch, come round, check what is there and put a fixed figure on it. Booking is your decision; the work and the bill are a matter between you and that firm.
What we do
- Read your enquiry and look for a firm that covers your area.
- Pick out one firm near you that suits the job, and name it.
- Pass on your details only after you say yes.
- Delete what you sent us if you ask.
What we do not do
- Charge you anything.
- Quote for your job. Only someone who has seen it can.
- Promise a response or visit time.
- Give medical advice about bites, or send marketing emails.
How we are paid
The firm we introduce pays us a fee for the introduction. You pay us nothing, whether you book or not. We are independent and not connected to any pest control company with a name like ours.
Where our prices and advice come from
Price ranges come from two published national cost guides, each linked with the date we read it. Local facts, such as what Newcastle City Council lists on its pest control page, are linked to the council's own site. Advice on recognising bed bugs and coping while you wait draws on the NHS and the British Pest Control Association. None of it is medical or legal advice: a pharmacist or GP can help with bites, and the council or your landlord can tell you what applies to your home.
